One of the most provocative and challenging questions that many people struggle with in today’s world is whether or not it is possible to make contact with the deceased. Can the living communicate with the dead? The Bible as the word of God gives clear answers to this question (Deut. 18:9-14; 1 Chron. 10:13; Is. 8:19).
Is communication between the dead and the living possible? The spiritist claims that interaction between the dead and the living is possible and that communication between this life and the realm of the dead can be maintained, and furthermore that the dead can speak and appear to the living.
The question is whether or not it is possible to contact the spirits of the deceased, and can these spirits be summoned to appear to the living? Then also, may this be done? In other
words, do the Scriptures allow for this?
