The Word of God leaves no doubt about where believers, who have already died, find themselves. It is also true that, even now, a clear distinction is made in heaven between believers of the time of the Old Testament and those of the New Testament and later on.
The question can now be asked: How did the people of the Old Testament obtain salvation? The answer is: In exactly the same way as the believers in the New Testament — by faith.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders (Old Testament saints) obtained a good report” (Heb. 11:1, 2).
